HELPING YOUR CHILD TAKE SMALL STEPS TOWARDS THEIR GOALS
About Us
Small Steps Physiotherapy is a mobile paediatric physiotherapy service specialising in disability and early childhood intervention, based in Adelaide, South Australia.

Our focus is on helping your child take the small steps towards achieving their goals.

Small steps are achievable, sustainable and motivating for you and your child.

Our practices and interventions are evidence based, family centered and goal-directed.

We provide community based interventions, funded through the NDIS for plan and self managed participants.
We believe in working with you in your child’s natural environments, so we travel to you.

This includes home, child care, kindy and school visits. We also offer aquatic therapy and equipment prescription (Assistive Technology) services.

Services
Home Visits
Home is where your family spends most of their time.
Home visits allow us to use your child's natural environments and existing routines to work towards their goals.
This evidence based practice encourages the transference of skills out of therapy and into their every day life.
School, Kindy and Child Care Visits
We can visit your child in their educational setting and work together with their teachers and support staff to maximise their participation in learning and play.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic Therapy (or hydrotherapy) provides a supportive environment that allows us to use the buoyancy and resistance of water to build strength, balance and freedom of movement.
Mostly importantly, Aquatic Therapy is heaps of fun!
Equipment Prescription
Sometimes we need a little extra help to get around.
Specialised equipment (otherwise known as Assistive Technology) can help kids access their environment, maximise their movement opportunities and get the most out of their day.
Our physiotherapists have experience with prescribing a range of Assistive Technology including manual and powered wheelchairs, supportive seating, standing frames, walking aids, strollers and much more. We will help you and your child through the whole process from assessment through to fitting.
